AMA (NSW) Campaign Website Launched
The AMA (NSW) has launched its new campaign website, Doctors4HealthNSW!
The new website will be central to AMA (NSW)'s lobbying efforts throughout the state election campaign. We've started with a focus on doctors-in-training and you can read about the AMA (NSW)'s meeting with the NSW Shadow Health Minister, Jillian Skinner. AMA (NSW) DIT Committee Chair, Kathryn Austin, and Federal AMA DIT
Council Chair, Michael Bonning, introduced Mrs Skinner to the AMA (NSW) Doctor-In-Training 2011 State Election Priorities (PDF).
The priorities for doctors-in-training focus on the creation of more training positions, ways to improve the quality of training junior doctors receive and the need for a comprehensive medical workforce plan.
At Doctors4HealthNSW you can sign a petition addressed to the Health Minister in support of the AMA (NSW) plan, join the AMA (NSW) group on Facebook and sign up for the Election Network mailing list, as well as get all
the latest news on the AMA's actions this election campaign.
Sharp-eyed readers of NSW Doctor may have seen mentions of a project called AMA Active in the magazine's pages, that was a working title for the Doctors4HealthNSW website.
Be sure to check back often, as we'll be adding additional features as the campaign progresses.
